How Eastern Elements handles reading data, guide requests, availability forms, digital product support, and basic site analytics.

Last updated: October 12, 2026.

Minimize

Collect what the product needs

Forms ask for the information needed to provide a reading, deliver a guide, record interest, or answer a support request.

Explain

Make the purpose visible

Reading data, source tags, and product-interest events are used to run the site and decide which materials deserve production.

Separate

Keep payment outside the site

Eastern Elements does not directly collect payment card data. When the four-book checkout is available, PayPal handles payment.

Respect

Avoid sensitive submissions

Visitors should not submit medical, legal, financial, emergency, or highly sensitive personal details through site forms.

Information visitors choose to submit

Eastern Elements collects the information visitors choose to submit, such as name, email, birth date, optional birth time selection, reading results, guide requests, report availability requests, product interest, reading feedback, and attribution source. This information is used to provide the free reading experience, deliver guide downloads, understand demand for reports or products, provide support, and improve the site.

Reading and report forms are separate free-site validation flows. They are not paid personalized reports and are not part of the first four-book English PDF catalogue.

Interest and guide forms have a separate optional notification choice. We treat a visitor as eligible for availability or edition updates only when they actively check that box; historical interest records are not automatically treated as notification consent.

Site analytics

Page paths, CTA clicks, event names, source labels, timestamps, and anonymous session identifiers used to understand which pages are useful.

First-party analytics

The site records limited first-party analytics such as page views, CTA clicks, page paths, source labels, event names, timestamps, and anonymous session identifiers. These signals help us understand which pages and offers are useful as the first digital product checkout is prepared.

Payment and sensitive details

The four-book checkout uses PayPal for payment. Eastern Elements does not directly collect payment card data. When checkout is available, PayPal processes payment details under its own privacy notice. Site order records include the order email, product and version, amount and currency, provider references, payment status, and timestamps. Access and delivery records include entitlement and grant status, link expiry, and delivery-notice status. These records support verification, private PDF delivery, and order or access questions; they are not marketing consent. The site does not currently collect account passwords or birth location.

Checkout abuse checks use hashed network and email identifiers to limit repeated requests. Order and private-access records use Supabase. When live delivery email is enabled, Resend processes the recipient address and access-notice content.

Readings, reports, guides, and product interest forms are for cultural reflection and product validation. Visitors should avoid submitting sensitive medical, legal, financial, or emergency information through the site.

Order records and retention

For Live ebook orders, our retention policy covers only the information needed for payment verification, delivery, support, refunds, and disputes. Core order, payment, refund, and necessary delivery or access evidence is retained for 3 years after the order is closed. Ordinary technical troubleshooting logs are retained for 90 days from creation; ordinary support correspondence is retained for 12 months after the support case is closed. Payment or dispute evidence follows the order-record period, not the shorter troubleshooting-log period.

Unresolved disputes, legal holds, and mandatory tax or accounting retention requirements take priority over these routine periods. Records are reviewed for secure deletion or anonymization when no longer needed; these periods do not promise an automated deletion on the expiry date. We do not keep payment-card details or add unrelated birth or reading information to ordinary ebook order evidence. PayPal and other service providers apply their own retention policies. These ebook periods do not set a retention period for separate free readings, interest forms, or site analytics.

For privacy questions or data-related support, email support@eastern-elements.com. You can also review the Terms of Service, Disclaimer, and Contact page for the current support boundary.

To request access, correction, or deletion of a form submission or ask about order records, email support@eastern-elements.com with the relevant form and email address. Do not send payment-card details or identity documents by email.
